Enjoy an easy walk or bike ride at your own pace with your young children
through the Hilltop Reservation - the newest park in Essex County
The route is approximately 1.5 miles long and never bothered by annoying
vehicles! Ride the entire distance or just a portion.
Families with small children should allow about 1 hour for a leisurely ride.
Bikes with training wheels and tricycles are all welcome. Please arrive by 10:45 to start any time before noon.
Park in the lot behind the sports field on Mountain Avenue in North Caldwell (Courter Road entrance to the Hilltop Reservation).

The marked route starts directly from the parking lot.

Don't bring money. The ride, beautiful scenery and memories are free.
Do bring helmets, a camera and
perhaps some drinks or snacks for your children. You may want to allow additional time to explore the many new trails.
Organized by the Hilltop Conservancy as a way
to introduce a safe cycling area to families.
