Meeting Minutes

2004 objectives were reviewed.

The following additional objectives were added:
  • Access
  • Mission Statement
  • Logo
Objectives: The comprehensive set of objectives will be maintained in a separate document and will be distributed with these minutes. The objectives will be revisited at the next meeting in order to solicit volunteers and establish details such as level of effort and timing.

Logo will not be a contest. We will solicit for submissions from all school grade levels and other private citizens. A sub-committee will be formed Teena, David and Ann will sit on sub-committee. They will decide on design criteria and how entries will be submitted to the Conservancy.

Old Business

  • inventory of flora and fauna
    Kurt is still in discussions with the president of William Paterson University. Kurt has established a meeting in August and will report after that meeting. David Hall noted that he has already completed a comprehensive inventory in 1997 and, along with Dennis German, is continuing to complete an ongoing inventory of birds.
  • Website
    Dennis created a www.hilltopconservancy.org domain has been established. Dennis has created some initial content including pictures and links to officer e-mails.

New Business

Decide on who will be webmaster for HC and what will process be for posting

Education

John gave an audio/video presentation on birds of the Hilltop. David and Dennis supplemented with comments.

Ideas for future agenda items – Web site presentation.
