Meeting called to order at 7:30pm.

The second meeting of the year began with some administrative remarks. Dues for 2006 are now being accepted. (Individual $20 / family $35). It was stated that voting members on conservancy issues need to be paying members. The vice president and secretary positions are still open for nominations and/or volunteers. Please access the web site(hilltopconservancy.org) for further information or to nominate/volunteer.

The first agenda item was the conservancy logo. The logo was reviewed a few months back and narrowed down to two samples. The group decided on a final logo and asked for the designer to play around with the text a little bit. A final version will be viewed and voted on at the March meeting. The logo is a oak leaf design surrounded by the words Hilltop Conservancy.

The second agenda item was a trails update. Trail maps were distributed to the group and specific trails were explained by Charlie. There are several trails marked at this point. The trails committee is going to meet to draw up a finalized map. The finalized map will also have mileage markers on them for individual trails and total reservation distances.

Next on the agenda was a discussion of the 2006 brochure distribution. The 2005 brochure was a big success which brought in additional members and donations. The 2006 brochure is being updated with new maps and current events. Volunteers are needed to distribute to surrounding streets of the reservation. Please help out if you can. The brochure should be ready by the end of March for distribution.

Miscellaneous items

The conservancy is going to participate in the Environmental Fair in Verona Park on April 22, 2006. Our booth will consist of pictures, trail maps, brochures and a sample of native plants that can be found on the Hilltop. Anne, Seymour and Theresa have volunteered so far and any other volunteers are welcome.

A bird watching hike is going to be scheduled and headed by Phoebe. The date has not been decided as of yet.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 22, 2006.
